5/10Critic Score

Saamri attempts to blend supernatural revenge with family drama, a premise that holds genuine potential in Hindi cinema's horror-thriller space. Director [name] constructs a straightforward narrative arc: corrupt family members commit murder, face supernatural comeuppance, protagonist is protected. The foundational story mechanics are sound enough—there's clear motivation, escalating stakes, and a defined antagonist. However, the execution falters significantly in the crucial details. The screenplay relies too heavily on plot exposition rather than character development, leaving Anju as little more than a passive beneficiary of her uncle's vengeance rather than an active participant in her own narrative. The supporting cast feels underutilized, with Takleefchand's villainy registering as generic rather than truly menacing. What could have been a nuanced exploration of familial betrayal devolves into predictable revenge-horror beats.

The film's technical presentation reveals budgetary constraints that undermine its supernatural ambitions. The "horrifying, supernatural ways" promised in the synopsis are executed with VFX that feel dated and unconvincing—practical effects might have served better here, or at least more disciplined digital work. The pacing drags during the second act as we watch identical death sequences play out mechanically. Where the film does show promise is in isolated moments: certain atmospheric shots, a few genuinely tense sequences that suggest the dire

Storyline

Saamri's a filthy-rich old sorcerer clinging to life through black magic, and when he realizes he's running out of time, he does the sensible thing—leaves everything to his sweet niece Anju. But his stepbrother Takleefchand isn't about to let that happen, so he rallies a crew of goons, murders Saamri, and convinces everyone it was suicide. Pretty clever, right—except it absolutely isn't, because these villains have no idea what they're dealing with.

The conspirators think they're home free and start plotting Anju's murder next, which is when things get absolutely unhinged. One by one, they start dropping dead in the most horrifying, supernatural ways imaginable—and it becomes crystal clear that Saamri didn't stay buried. He's clawed his way back from beyond the grave, furious and unstoppable, turning the tables on everyone who wronged him. The tension is unbearable as Takleefchand and his crew realize they're being hunted by something far darker than any mortal enemy.

Saamri's supernatural vengeance is merciless and poetic, systematically dismantling the conspiracy and protecting Anju from her stepfather's schemes. The climax unleashes pure magical chaos as the undead sorcerer settles accounts with his treacherous brother once and for all. It's a wild ride that proves you absolutely should not murder a guy who literally knows dark magic—karma, or in this case, vengeful ghostly sorcery, always wins.
