Mehta's direction navigates treacherous emotional terrain here, attempting to blend the psychological trauma narrative with a revenge thriller—a combination that works sporadically. The first act's conceit of identity displacement and fractured maternal bonding shows genuine thematic ambition, and the performances, particularly in those quieter moments of recognition and disorientation, carry real weight. However, the screenplay struggles to maintain consistency between Rocky's carefree persona and his transformation into an avenging son; the tonal shifts feel abrupt rather than organic, undermining the character arc's credibility. The construction accident revelation, while narratively functional, arrives with the subtlety of a sledgehammer, and the subsequent mystery unraveling feels mechanically plotted rather than genuinely investigative.

What distinguishes this film is its willingness to interrogate the collateral damage of vengeance—the climactic realization that his crusade endangers loved ones feels earned thematically, even if the execution wavers. The pairing of Rocky with a trauma survivor creates interesting thematic resonance around healing versus retribution, though their dynamic could have been developed with greater nuance. The revenge plot itself treads familiar Bollywood territory, but there's an undercurrent of fatalism here that prevents it from becoming merely formulaic. Where the film falters is in balancing spectacle with psychological depth; it commit
