Mehta's execution of this ambitious double-identity premise suffers from uneven pacing and tonal whiplash that undermines its psychological thriller aspirations. The first act establishes genuine chemistry between the lead pair in Kashmir's picturesque backdrop, but once the narrative pivots to the doppelgänger angle, the film becomes muddled—oscillating between romantic melodrama, murder mystery, and courtroom redemption without committing fully to any. The director demonstrates competence in framing intimate moments, particularly in scenes where Bhavna gradually recognizes the imposter, but the writing betrays these performances by introducing the murder revelation too abruptly, deflating narrative tension rather than building it. Supporting cast members, especially whoever portrays Vicky, are underutilized as mere plot devices rather than fully realized antagonists.

What prevents this from being an outright failure is its central thematic spine: the unreliable female protagonist fighting institutional dismissal. That core concept resonates thematically and offers rich material, yet the screenplay fumbles the execution by presenting Bhavna's mental fragility as both her greatest vulnerability and her tragedy's root cause—a morally complex position the film never adequately explores. Storyline

Amar's a dreamy tour guide in Kashmir who's absolutely smitten with Bhavna, a hotel receptionist, and finally confesses his love with his friend's help—turns out she loves him right back! Everything's perfect until this sleazy alcoholic named Vicky starts circling Bhavna's sister Sangeeta, and after Amar beats him in a violent showdown, tragedy strikes: Amar tumbles down a mountain and dies, leaving Bhavna so shattered she completely loses her grip on reality.

Then here's where it gets wild—a dead ringer for Amar shows up in Kashmir in the form of Flight Lieutenant Pavan Kumar Saxena, and Bhavna's doctor convinces him to pose as Amar to help her recover! Pavan's initially resistant, but Sangeeta seduces him into agreeing, and the plan actually works—Bhavna slowly starts healing as she spends time with "Amar." But then the twist hits hard: Pavan's actually fallen for Sangeeta, not Bhavna, and Bhavna realizes something even darker—she's convinced Amar's death wasn't an accident but straight-up murder!

Now Bhavna's desperately trying to convince the police and everyone in town that Amar was killed, but here's the crushing problem—nobody's going to take the word of a woman who literally lost her mind! The tension builds as she fights to prove the truth while everyone dismisses her as unreliable, making you genuinely wonder if justice will ever come or if she's just seeing things that aren't there!
