On the night meant to celebrate a writer's joy, his famous actress fiancée lies dead in a hotel room, her life brutally stolen away. A seasoned detective arrives to unravel the mystery, but the pieces don't fit neatly—the groom is nowhere to be found, and suspicion immediately falls like a dark shadow over him. Yet in the shadows of this investigation, someone else seems to be pulling strings, speaking in hushed tones to an unnamed confidant about how events are unfolding.
Desperate and terrified, the writer abandons reason and flees through the city's winding streets, his mind spinning with panic. He spots a stranger's car and throws himself upon their mercy, begging for shelter from a nightmare he can't explain to the authorities. There's no time for explanations, only the primal need to escape before the walls close in completely.
As the investigation deepens, new faces emerge from the shadows—a film producer with a history, a man whose jealousy burned bright enough to confront the groom at the very celebration.
