There's a compelling premise buried within *Pranaam*—the portrait of a man who trades his integrity for ambition, who watches the system he served betray him and decides to become the very thing he once fought against. Rajeev Khandelwal carries this transformation with a brooding intensity, and when the film leans into his internal conflict, you feel the weight of choices made and roads not taken. The narrative framework of exploring how corruption festers, how personal grievance becomes justification for moral collapse, touches something real about power and its corrupting influence. Yet the film struggles to maintain the psychological depth its premise demands.

What could have been a meditation on institutional failure and human desperation instead becomes a series of crime sequences that feel mechanical rather than inevitable. The flashback structure meant to illuminate why our protagonist chose this path often interrupts rather than illuminates, leaving us watching plot developments instead of understanding the emotional erosion that preceded them. The supporting cast and world-building never quite achieve the texture needed to make his transformation feel earned—we're told the system failed him, but we don't feel the collateral damage enough to truly comprehend his rage.
