6.2/10Critic Score

Mehrotra's direction attempts to juggle multiple narrative threads—romantic deception, mistaken identity, and kidnapper-turned-savior subplot—but the execution feels bloated rather than intricate. The premise itself isn't without merit: a dual-identity romance with genuine emotional stakes could work, particularly when grounded in character psychology. However, the screenplay conflates complication with depth. The transition from romantic misunderstanding to criminal abduction feels narratively jarring, as if two separate films collided mid-production. The lead performances are serviceable but don't elevate material that asks them to oscillate between melodrama and thriller conventions without sufficient connective tissue. Where the film *does* succeed is in its committed emotional beats—Rajesh's desperation in the second half generates some genuine tension, and there are moments where the chemistry between leads crackles authentically.

The technical execution is competent if unremarkable. Cinematography captures the village-to-city visual contrast adequately, and the climactic rescue sequence has pulse, though predictability undermines its impact. What ultimately hampers "Phir Kab Milogi" is tonal inconsistency: the film treats the kidnapping arc with thriller sincerity while maintaining romantic-comedy lightness elsewhere, creating cognitive dissonance rather than genre hybridity. Given Mehrotra's directorial average of 6.9/10, this lands slightl

Storyline

Sapna's playing the ultimate double life game—sweet village girl Paro at work, glamorous city sophisticate as herself—and poor Rajesh has no idea they're the same person until his heart's already shattered into a million pieces! He falls hard for Paro's genuine charm, only to discover the deception, which sends him running to a remote village to escape the heartbreak. The twist? He bumps into Sapna again, and she's now engaged to some local big shot, making everything feel impossibly complicated!

Things get absolutely chaotic when a dangerous criminal named Teja kidnaps Sapna thinking she's his long-lost sister, turning what was already a messy romantic situation into a full-blown hostage crisis! His actual sister tries to save Sapna by revealing herself, but in the confusion, Sapna goes missing—vanishes into thin air without a trace. Now Rajesh's tormented, wondering if he'll ever get the chance to confess his love, and frankly, nobody knows if Sapna's even alive anymore!

The tension absolutely sizzles as everything comes down to whether Rajesh can find Sapna and finally tell her what's in his heart—assuming she's still breathing! The film brilliantly keeps you guessing right till the end, mixing romance with genuine danger in ways that feel both thrilling and emotionally raw. It's that perfect Bollywood cocktail of heartbreak, redemption, and second chances that'll leave you completely invested!
