This film attempts something genuinely audacious—using absurdist humor to expose the fragility of male ego and the corruption that festers in small-town power structures. The premise of a buffalo being summoned to court is so deliciously ridiculous that it could either be a stroke of satirical genius or a complete misfire. Director Vishal Mishra chooses the former, crafting a dark comedy that finds unexpected pathos beneath its madness. What works beautifully is how the film refuses to let us simply laugh at the absurdity; instead, it makes us confront the real tragedy—a man's life destroyed, a family shattered, a father dead—all because one insecure man's wounded pride needed feeding. The core performances, particularly in conveying the desperation of the wronged family, ground what could have been mere farce into something that actually stings.

However, the film's tonal balance is precarious, and not always successfully maintained. The satirical bite sometimes gets dulled by overplaying the comedy, and the shift between mockery and genuine human suffering can feel jarring rather than purposeful. While the buffalo-in-court concept is inspired, the execution occasionally loses sight of what makes the story matter—which is the systemic injustice and casual cruelty that ordinary people endure. Storyline

So basically, there's this super wealthy village leader named Sualaal who's married to this much younger woman called Maya, but they're basically just living separate lives under the same roof. A local guy named Arjun catches Maya's eye and they start secretly seeing each other, which obviously doesn't go unnoticed. When Sualaal finds out about their connection, he's absolutely furious—not just because of the betrayal, but because his own insecurities as a man are getting mocked by the whole situation.

Things escalate pretty dramatically when Sualaal decides to get revenge on Arjun in the most ridiculous way possible. Instead of just beating him up or kicking him out, he comes up with this crazy scheme to frame Arjun for assaulting his buffalo named Miss Tanakpur. I know, it sounds absolutely bonkers, but he actually manages to pull strings and get the police to file an official case against him. Poor Arjun gets thrown in jail and his entire family's life falls apart—his sister's wedding gets cancelled and his father literally dies from the stress of it all.

So now the case is dragging through the courts and here's where it gets really weird—the judge demands that they bring the supposed victim, Miss Tanakpur the buffalo, to testify in court. Sualaal's big plan is about to unravel in the most entertaining way, and all these new complications start popping up that nobody really expected. The whole thing becomes this mad circus and you're left wondering how on earth this ridiculous situation is going to resolve itself.
