Vijay Mehta's directorial vision attempts to blend political intrigue with romantic melodrama, but the execution suffers from tonal inconsistency and a narrative that feels stretched thin across its runtime. The film's central premise—a tabloid editor framed for murder while romance blooms amid political corruption—has genuine potential, yet the screenplay fumbles in balancing its competing genres. The lead performances carry the emotional weight reasonably well, with chemistry between the protagonists providing some narrative buoyancy, but the supporting cast portraying politicians and criminals feels underutilized. The direction shows flashes of competence in isolated sequences, particularly during the investigative portions, but these moments are undermined by melodramatic stretches that derail pacing. What should have been a taut thriller devolves into predictable territory by the second act, where convenient plot devices replace genuine detective work.

The film's engagement with its political backdrop is superficial at best—the "nexus between gangsters and politicians" that forms the climactic revelation feels more like a checkbox than a genuine exploration of systemic corruption. The editing could have been tighter; at nearly 140 minutes, there's unnecessary bloat that doesn't serve character development or thematic depth. Technically, the cinematography captures city aesthetics adequately, though nothing particularly distinguishes the visual language. Where "Leader" t

Storyline

Vijay's got everything going for him—sharp mind, sharper tongue, and a job editing the city's spiciest tabloid! Then he locks eyes with Princess Sunita and suddenly the man's a goner, completely head over heels. But here's the thing—elections are heating up, power players are circling, and the timing couldn't be messier!

Everything goes sideways when Vijay gets framed for murdering a major political bigshot! Now he's got murder charges hanging over his head like a sword of Damocles, and the system's ready to bury him. But Sunita's not about to let her man go down—she digs in alongside him, and together they start pulling threads on this tangled web of crooked politicians and hardcore criminals running the show.

The two of them become absolute detectives, connecting dots nobody else dared to touch! They expose the filthy nexus between the gangsters and the politicians, blow the whole thing wide open, and clear Vijay's name spectacularly. Love wins, justice wins, and our hero walks free with his princess by his side!
