"Ek Misaal" arrives as a well-intentioned revenge-redemption drama that stumbles between its competing impulses. The premise—a woman transforming marital betrayal into entrepreneurial triumph—carries genuine appeal, particularly in a market hungry for female-centric narratives with agency. However, director's execution dilutes what could have been a sharp, character-driven study into melodramatic territory. The business rivalry sequences, which should form the film's spine, feel rushed and narratively convenient; contracts shift hands with the ease of a Bollywood song montage rather than through earned strategic conflict. The performances carry the weight admirably—there's authentic hurt in Rekha's portrayal of initial devastation—but the material doesn't provide enough texture to sustain two-plus hours. The supporting cast, particularly Bindu and Raj, exists more as plot devices than dimensional antagonists, which undermines the interpersonal stakes that could elevate this from competent to compelling.

Where "Ek Misaal" partially redeems itself is in its final thematic pivot toward grace over vengeance. That decision—Rekha's quiet choice to protect Pooja rather than weaponize her victory—is genuinely noble and arrives with some emotional resonance. Storyline

Rekha ditches her promising career for marriage to Raj, a flashy builder—and immediately regrets it when this charming creep dumps her for the glamorous Bindu without a second thought. She's heartbroken, humiliated, left with nothing but her dignity and her brother's support. But here's where it gets good: instead of falling apart, she channels every ounce of that pain into building her own empire from scratch!

The two become fierce business rivals, and Rekha's sheer determination and business acumen absolutely demolish Raj's operation—she's stealing contracts left and right, watching his empire crumble while hers soars. It's glorious karma in motion as his arrogance and infidelity finally catch up with him, leaving him bankrupt and broken, begging for scraps. The tables have turned so completely that she literally owns everything he once prided himself on!

But here's the beautiful twist—Rekha isn't just about revenge, she's about redemption and grace. She quietly uses her newfound wealth to support Pooja, Raj's innocent daughter, ensuring the kid never suffers for her father's sins. In the end, she leaves her entire fortune to the girl, proving that true strength isn't about winning a game of one-upmanship—it's about rising above it all and becoming a beacon of hope for every woman who's been abandoned and broken. Absolute masterclass in turning heartbreak into legacy!
