4/10Critic Score

Arjun Nair here, and I've got to say — "Chand Par Chadayee" is a film that swings wildly between inspired ambition and outright incompetence. The premise of two protagonists crash-landing on the Moon and stumbling into an alien conflict has legs, and there are moments where the sheer audacity of the concept almost carries you along. The chemistry between Anand and Bhagu works intermittently; when the script leans into their banter, there's genuine warmth. But the direction is scattershot — the action sequences lack coherence, the pacing is erratic, and you can feel the budget constraints choking the sci-fi spectacle that this story desperately needs. The "twist" that the aliens aren't villains but territorial defenders is predictable and undercooked, arriving so late in the runtime that it feels like an afterthought rather than a revelation.

What really grinds my gears is the wasted potential in the third act. A film about genuine intergalactic diplomacy could've been something special, but instead we get a rushed resolution that feels more like the filmmakers were desperate to wrap things up. The VFX is inconsistent — some sequences look passable, others look like they were rendered on a laptop from 2015. The performances can't fully compensate; while the leads do their best with the material, they're fighting against lazy dialogue and a script that doesn't trust its own ideas. There's enthusiasm here, but enthusiasm without craft is just noise.

Storyline

Anand and Bhagu touch down on the Moon in this absolutely wild ride, and they're pumped to explore this alien world. But things go sideways fast when they realize they're not alone up there! Warriors and monsters from another planet start coming at them from every direction, and suddenly this scientific mission becomes a fight for survival.

The duo's got nowhere to run on the lunar surface as wave after wave of extraterrestrial creatures come charging at them. Bhagu's cracking jokes to keep morale up while Anand's thinking strategically, using everything from their spacecraft to the Moon's terrain as weapons. It's chaos, it's tense, it's absolutely bonkers!

But here's where it gets good — these two figure out that the aliens aren't actually evil, just territorial and protecting their own kind. Through some clever negotiation and a few last-minute heroics, Anand and Bhagu broker peace and end up learning incredible secrets about the universe. They blast off back to Earth as unlikely ambassadors for intergalactic friendship!
