The premise of *Vaada* works as a reasonably compelling thriller—a tangled web of past romance, present suspicion, and the question of who truly bears guilt when a woman's body vanishes and a blind man becomes the prime suspect. The core conflict between Rahul and Karan has genuine dramatic potential, and the film deserves credit for attempting to layer obsession, betrayal, and psychological manipulation into what could have been a straightforward whodunit. The performances, particularly in moments where the characters confront their shared history, show restraint and nuance; there's a real effort here to make these men feel like victims of circumstance rather than mere plot devices.

However, the execution stumbles where it matters most—in the telling. The investigation sequences, meant to be the film's backbone, meander rather than build tension, and the script's attempts to make us second-guess Rahul's blindness feel gimmicky rather than organic to the story. The pacing drags in the middle chapters, losing momentum precisely when we should be most uncertain about what's true. The director, working above their usual average, shows ambition in the film's construction, but lacks the tautness required to make a mystery sing. Storyline

So basically, there are these two business partners, Rahul and Karan, and things get super messy when Rahul's wife Pooja is found dead. At first everyone thinks she killed herself, but then her body mysteriously vanishes and the police start wondering if something darker happened. Turns out Karan and Pooja actually dated way back in the day, and he was pretty obsessive about her. But she eventually left him, moved on, and ended up marrying Rahul, who was this successful and genuinely caring guy.

Life seemed to be going okay for Rahul and Pooja until they got into a terrible car accident that left Rahul completely blind. What's wild is that years later, Karan becomes super rich and ends up becoming business partners with Rahul without even realizing that his old flame is now married to him. When Karan finally figures out who Rahul's wife is, it's a total shock for everyone involved.

Now with Pooja's death looking increasingly suspicious and evidence pointing to Karan, he finds himself in serious trouble with the law. Convinced that he's being set up, Karan brings in his lawyer buddy Rajat to help clear his name. He starts suspecting that Rahul might be behind everything and begins investigating him pretty intensely, even attempting some pretty wild schemes to prove that Rahul's blindness isn't real.
