Vikram Bose here with thoughts on this jungle adventure that swings between genuine charm and uneven execution. The premise itself—a scientist's son raised by a half-man, half-ape guardian, protecting an ancient elixir formula—has pulp appeal, and director Rajesh Khanna mines it for both comedy and spectacle. The early scenes of Tarzan's awkward courtship with Leela work surprisingly well; there's an innocence to his fumbling speech patterns and clumsy attempts at connection that borders on endearing, and the chemistry between the leads carries these quieter moments. The action sequences, when they arrive, don't skimp on ambition—stampeding elephants, tribal chaos, and creature mayhem fill the frame with genuine effort. What's clear is that the filmmaking team understood the assignment: deliver pure entertainment without overthinking it.

However, the seams show as the narrative lurches from one set piece to another. The middle act drags unnecessarily, padding runtime with subplots that don't deepen either character or theme. Bihari's villainy feels undercooked—he's a threat more by convenience than conviction. The technical execution wavers too; some CGI work on the ape-guardian feels budget-conscious, pulling you out of immersion just when you're settling in. Uma's mental breakdown thread, which could have added genuine emotional weight, gets glossed over in favour of more action. The director shows promise in managing scale and tone, even if the final product feels like th

Storyline

Ramu's a genius scientist living deep in the jungle with his wife Uma and their young son Leher, and he's literally cracked the code to eternal life! Everything falls apart when lions brutally attack their home, killing Ramu and leaving Uma shattered beyond repair. But little Leher and the family's loyal dog Moti make a miraculous escape with help from Dada, this wild half-man, half-ape protector who becomes their unlikely guardian.

Fast-forward fifteen years and the jungle's about to get crowded! Ramu's father shows up from the city with a bunch of city folk, including an adopted daughter named Leela, and suddenly there's chaos because Bihari—one of the newcomers—is obsessed with stealing the elixir formula that's hidden in a pendant around grown-up Leher's neck. What makes it genuinely hilarious is watching Tarzan (yes, that's what they call Leher now) fumble through interactions with Leela because the guy literally doesn't speak properly, leading to these adorable and awkward moments that'll make you grin.

Then it goes absolutely bonkers with tribal cannibals, stampeding elephants, roaring lions, and swinging apes all attacking at once—pure spectacle and adrenaline! Tarzan becomes the ultimate hero, protecting Leela from Bihari's creepy advances and fighting off every threat the jungle throws at them. The ending's genuinely touching as Tarzan finally reunites with his grandfather and his mother Uma, who's slowly finding her way back to sanity after all those years of heartbreak.
