Storyline
A widow stripped of her identity and confined to a bleak ashram meets a transgender person fleeing exploitation and violence within her own community. Both individuals find themselves at society's margins, deemed disposable by the systems meant to control them. Their encounter becomes a turning point when they rescue each other from a suicide attempt in the river, setting in motion an unexpected connection.
The widow, believing her rescuer to be a man, begins to develop feelings for someone who finally treats her with dignity and respect. For the transgender person, this newfound acceptance feels like a lifeline—a rare moment of being seen as human rather than condemned. To preserve this fragile bond, she conceals her true identity, choosing the comfort of being valued over the harsh reality of her circumstances.
Both characters navigate a web of coercion and social pressure as their relationship deepens. The film explores how marginalized individuals seek solace in each other while grappling with forces determined to pull them apart and push them toward predetermined, destructive paths.
