6/10Critic Score

There's a raw, pulsating energy to *Qurbani* that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go—a film that understands that sometimes the greatest sacrifices come not from grand gestures, but from broken men learning to trust again. The narrative is deliberately knotted, layering betrayal upon betrayal until you're genuinely unsure who's deceiving whom, and that uncertainty mirrors the emotional chaos of characters trying to claw their way out of lives defined by crime and deception. What truly elevates this film is how it refuses to paint anyone as purely villain or hero; Rajesh's obsession with Sheela feels desperate and real, Amar's struggle to be better for his daughter tugs at something universal, and even the betrayals carry weight because they stem from survival, not malice. The performances anchor all this chaos—there's a vulnerability here that could've easily slipped into melodrama but instead feels earned and human.

Where the film stumbles is in its pacing, particularly in the London sequences where the narrative momentum shifts into something more scattered. The heist mechanics occasionally feel more plot-device than organic, and you sense the director stretching to connect all these threads rather than letting them flow naturally. The climactic sacrifice, while emotionally potent, arrives with a suddenness that suggests budget or creative constraints rather than narrative inevitability. Yet despite these missteps, what lingers isn't the structural imperfections—it

Storyline

Rajesh is a slick ex-stuntman turned master thief who's completely smitten with Sheela, a gorgeous disco dancer—except she has no idea he's a criminal! Everything falls apart when a traffic accident gets him spotted and arrested; the court throws him in prison for two years, and Sheela's world shatters when she discovers his real life. While inside, Rajesh befriends Vikram, who's plotting revenge against crime boss Rakka alongside his sister Jwaala, and they strike a dangerous deal that'll define everything that follows.

When Rajesh gets out, Vikram immediately cashes in on their agreement—but plot twist, Sheela's already moved on with Amar, a disillusioned ex-gangster trying to go straight for his daughter Tina's sake! A messy love triangle explodes when Vikram kidnaps Tina to force Rajesh into one final heist, and now all three men are tangled up in a scheme where they'll steal from Rakka and Rajesh will take the fall. The robbery goes sideways fast—Rajesh gets arrested for murder instead of theft, and he bolts to London convinced his new best friend Amar double-crossed him to keep both the money AND Sheela!

Rajesh storms into London ready for blood, but after a tense confrontation, he realizes Amar's actually innocent and they're all pawns in a bigger game. When Vikram's crew tracks them down for their final revenge showdown, Amar makes the ultimate sacrifice—laying down his life so Rajesh, Sheela, and little Tina can escape and finally find peace together!
