5/10Critic Score

Directed with earnest intensity but uneven execution, this revenge thriller attempts to weave a complex web of betrayal and family conspiracy, yet the ambition often outpaces the delivery. The premise—a wronged man returning to expose corruption and save his loved one—is familiar territory in Hindi cinema, but the film tries to elevate it with layered conspiracies involving inheritance fraud, murdered spouses, and police corruption. The performances carry weight where it matters; there's genuine conviction in the protagonist's determination and the antagonist's moral decay feels appropriately unsettling. However, the narrative becomes increasingly convoluted as it piles twist upon twist, reaching a point where credibility strains under the weight of increasingly improbable revelations. What should feel like a masterfully constructed puzzle often feels like overreach, with certain plot turns—particularly the sudden romantic complications and the shock reveals—arriving without sufficient groundwork to feel organic rather than merely sensational.

The film's technical execution is competent if unremarkable. The direction maintains engagement through most of its runtime, though pacing occasionally stutters when exposition takes over from action. The chemistry between leads provides emotional anchoring in scenes that might otherwise feel melodramatic, and there's commendable effort in trying to ground the story with genuine character motivation rather than relying solely on specta

Storyline

Om crashes back into Mumbai after two years of exile, summoned by Mr. Dhariwal with an urgent plea—his daughter Sandali's been kidnapped by a mobster named Ghotia Bhai who wants her to marry his son Brandy. Om doesn't hesitate because he genuinely cares for Sandali, and the moment he hits the city, he busts her free and takes down Brandy in the process. But here's where it gets messy: the new police chief, Inspector Nasir Pathan, doesn't know about the exile deal and arrests Om on the spot, throwing him back behind bars while Sandali gets handed back to her father.

What unfolds is absolutely wild—Nasir Pathan actually starts investigating and uncovers this massive conspiracy that's been rotting away for years! Turns out Dhariwal murdered his own wife and has been scheming ever since, getting corrupt Inspector Katkar to frame Om's sister as a prostitute, have her jailed, and kill her while making it look like suicide. The whole plan was designed to ruin Om's family name so he could never marry Sandali and get her inheritance—because if he does, Dhariwal gets nothing! The twists keep coming: Om and Sandali secretly exchanged vows already, but when Sandali's brought home, Dhariwal's new wife Celina drops the bomb that she's actually been Darren's secret lover the whole time, using Dhariwal for his money. Dhariwal loses it and Celina shoots him dead without blinking.

Om's still locked up when Nasir Pathan finally pieces together the whole ugly truth and realizes Om's been wronged from the start. With the inspector now on his side, Om breaks free to face off against Darren, who's now trying to marry Sandali to grab her wealth for himself. The final confrontation is explosive—Om defeats Darren, clears his name, and finally gets to be with Sandali legitimately, while justice catches up with everyone who deserved it. It's messy, it's violent, it's over-the-top, and it's absolutely brilliant!
