5/10Critic Score

There's a kernel of something genuinely entertaining buried in this chaotic mess—a story about two bumbling underdogs stumbling into redemption while uncovering corruption. But "O Teri" fumbles its own premise so badly that what should feel like a thrilling journey becomes an exhausting exercise in missed opportunities. The premise itself is promising: two hopeless journalists accidentally become whistle-blowers, chasing a story that could topple powerful people. Yet the execution is scattered, the pacing erratic, and the tonal shifts jarring. Director Umesh Mehra seems uncertain whether he's making a comedy, a thriller, or a satire, and this confusion seeps through every frame. The satirical potential—critiquing media incompetence and political corruption simultaneously—dissolves into slapstick that doesn't land and melodrama that feels unearned.

The performances struggle within this confused framework. While there's charm in watching PP and AIDS stumble through their journey, the actors aren't given scenes with real emotional weight to anchor their characters' transformation from fired failures to celebrated heroes. The bridge collapse sequence and the warehouse confrontation feel hastily constructed, lacking the tension or stakes that could make us genuinely invested in their survival. Even Monsoon, the boss character who eventually recognizes their truth, never feels like a fully realized person—she's more a plot device than a character. What truly disappoints is that be

Storyline

So basically, there are these two journalists named PP and AIDS who are total disasters at their jobs, and their boss Monsoon is constantly breathing down their necks, threatening to fire them whenever they mess up. One day, these guys stumble upon a dead body in their car—turns out it's a CBI officer—and they rush to tell their boss about it. But by the time they get to her office, the body's gone, so obviously she thinks they're making it up and fires them on the spot!

After getting fired, PP and AIDS are just wandering around feeling completely defeated when they witness this insane bridge collapse happening right in front of them. People are throwing around all these wild theories about what caused it, but here's the thing—these two somehow figure out that the dead body they found earlier is connected to the whole disaster. The police get involved and take the body away, but not before our duo manages to grab a CD that's basically a smoking gun against some shady politician.

Now things get really intense because the corrupt politicians are literally chasing PP and AIDS through the streets, and they end up hiding in a warehouse getting cornered. But just when things look really bad, the police show up and everything goes down. It turns out Monsoon finally realizes that her two fired employees were telling the truth all along, and suddenly PP and AIDS go from being total failures to becoming heroes that everyone knows about!
