2/10Critic Score

There are films that challenge us, provoke us, or transport us to new worlds—and then there's "Muskurake Dekh Zara," a movie that struggles to give audiences even one reason to lean forward in their seats. This is a film so devoid of substance that it becomes difficult to pinpoint where exactly things went wrong, because there's simply nothing compelling enough to critique. The narrative feels hollow, the characters fail to resonate, and the overall execution lacks the spark that could have saved even a modest premise. You sit through the runtime hoping for that one moment of magic, one scene that justifies your time, but it never arrives.

What makes this particularly disappointing is the wasted potential. Whether it's the performances, the storytelling, or the directorial choices, everything feels disconnected and uninspired, as if the film itself doesn't know what it's trying to be. The fundamental issue isn't that "Muskurake Dekh Zara" swings and misses—it's that it barely attempts to swing at all. There's no energy, no ambition, and crucially, no emotional anchor that could connect with audiences on any meaningful level. For cinema to work, it needs to move us, make us think, or at the very least, entertain us. This film accomplishes none of these.
