Rajesh Khanna's *Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao* attempts a morality tale wrapped in farcical comedy, but the execution falters across nearly every dimension. The premise—a materialistic husband ensnared by his own greed, juggling a neglectful marriage and an extramarital affair—has satirical potential, yet the film squanders it through clumsy direction and an inconsistent tonal register that oscillates between slapstick buffoonery and unconvincing melodrama. Khanna's performance, while energetic, relies too heavily on mugging and exaggerated physical comedy rather than layering his character with the cunning complexity the role demands. The supporting cast delivers functional work, but the screenplay's predictable trajectory—from scheming to exposure to hollow redemption—follows such a worn template that even the film's social commentary about greed registers as afterthought moralizing rather than genuine insight.

Storyline

Anand's struck gold when he marries Kamini Mathur, thinking her wealthy father's fortune will set him up for life! But plot twist—when the old man kicks the bucket, everything goes to Kamini, leaving our charming scoundrel completely blindsided and furious. He's suddenly trapped in a marriage where he's got zero control over the money, and honestly, it's hilarious watching his dreams crumble in real time.

So what does this lovable rogue do? He starts sneaking around with Anuradha, another materialistic beauty who expects constant gifts and lavish treatment! The desperation is real as Anand pulls off increasingly ridiculous schemes and cons just to keep her happy and coming back for more. He's juggling lies, fabricating stories, and basically becoming a con artist extraordinaire—all for a woman who'd drop him the second his gifts stopped rolling in.

Everything comes crashing down when his double life explodes right in his face, forcing him to confront the mess he's created! In the end, our protagonist finally gets what he deserves—a hard lesson in greed and superficiality that hits different. It's a delicious comeuppance wrapped in social commentary that actually makes you think about what matters in life, all while keeping you thoroughly entertained!
