Aditya Datt's "London Dreams" aspires to be a cautionary tale about ambition and friendship in the competitive music industry, but it stumbles under the weight of its own melodrama. The premise—two friends pursuing musical stardom in London only to have ego and attraction tear them apart—has genuine cinematic potential, reminiscent of the brotherhood-versus-ambition conflict we've seen in films like "Dil Chahta Hai," but executed with far less finesse here.
