"Keep Safe Distance" attempts to tell a deeply human story wrapped in Mumbai's criminal underworld, and there's genuine pathos in Sonia's journey from tragedy to survival. The film doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of exploitation and desperation—her transformation from flood survivor to "Sonia ATM" carries weight because it's rooted in circumstance rather than choice. The central conflict between Sonia and ACP Vijay creates interesting moral friction: here's a woman seeking redemption through a cop who views her merely as a means to an end. The themes resonate—poverty as a trap, trust as currency in a world without safety nets—but the execution feels uneven, struggling to balance the gritty authenticity the story demands with conventional Bollywood storytelling.

What undermines the film's potential is a certain heavyhandedness in its treatment of complex themes. The direction doesn't always trust the audience to sit with ambiguity; instead, it spells out moral judgments when subtlety might have been more powerful. Storyline

So this movie follows Sonia's journey through some really tough circumstances. She came to Mumbai as a young girl after losing her family in a devastating flood back in Assam. As she grows up, life takes her down a difficult path and she eventually becomes a high-profile escort known throughout the city as Sonia ATM. Along the way, she gets tangled up with a powerful underworld boss named Salim Sultan, which just deepens her involvement in that dangerous world.

Things get complicated when she crosses paths with ACP Vijay Suryavanshi, a cop who's on a mission to bring down Salim Sultan. Vijay sees an opportunity to use Sonia's inside knowledge and connections to catch the crime boss, so he makes her a promise that changes everything for her. She decides to trust him and gives him crucial information about Salim's plans, hoping that finally her life might turn around.

The film really digs into the gritty underbelly of Mumbai, exploring the web of organized crime, shady underworld dealings, and the darker side of the film industry. It's a pretty intense look at how poverty and desperation can push someone into compromising situations, and how those choices can have devastating consequences. The story touches on some serious themes about survival, trust, and the cost of getting involved in dangerous circles.
