4/10Critic Score

Kaya Palat stumbles badly trying to pull off what could've been a genuinely inventive premise. The de-aging concept has real comedic and dramatic potential, but director Sooraj Barjatya seems more interested in slapstick theatrics than exploring the actual existential crisis of adults trapped in children's bodies. The chemistry between Rai and the inspector is forced, the banter feels recycled from a dozen other buddy-cop films, and the "heart" the synopsis promises never materializes. What we get instead is endless scenes of grown men in child prosthetics doing pratfalls that haven't landed since the 90s. The science-fiction backbone dissolves into convenient plot mechanics—the formula works when needed, doesn't when it doesn't, with zero internal logic.

The performances are embarrassingly phoned in. The lead actor seems acutely aware he's in something ridiculous and phones it in accordingly, while the supporting cast doesn't even bother with that level of self-awareness. Kalicharan's jealousy subplot, which could've added genuine tension, gets abandoned halfway through for more juvenile humor. The direction is pedestrian at best—flat framing, no visual wit to compensate for the weak writing, and comedic timing that's consistently a beat off. For a film asking audiences to suspend massive disbelief, it earns absolutely none of that goodwill through craft or storytelling.

Storyline

Dr. Aravind Rai is absolutely killing it in his lab—this brilliant postgraduate scientist is obsessed with cracking the code to make humans faster, and you can feel his hunger for that breakthrough! But Kalicharan, his fellow scientist, is eaten up with jealousy watching Rai steal all the glory. The tension between these two is electric, building perfectly as Rai gets closer to his revolutionary formula.

Then comes the jaw-dropping accident that changes everything—Rai accidentally creates a dose that doesn't make him faster, but literally turns him into a child! It's hilarious and terrifying at once, and just when things couldn't get weirder, a tough police inspector gets caught in the same chaos and becomes young too. Now we've got this incredible mismatched pair trying to navigate the world as kids while everyone else thinks they've lost it.

The chaos that unfolds is pure magic, watching these adults trapped in children's bodies scramble to reverse the formula before it's too late! Kalicharan sees his moment to strike, but Rai's determination—even as a pint-sized version of himself—proves unstoppable. It's a wild ride that blends comedy, science fiction, and heart in the most unexpected way!
