Rajkumar Gupta takes a genuinely intriguing premise—a cop falling for the woman he arrested, then helping her escape—and somehow manages to strangle it into submission. The first act moves with purpose; there's tension in watching Saxena wrestle with doubt about Sapna's guilt, and the initial chemistry between the leads suggests this could've been something compelling. But by the interval, the film devolves into a sloppy, melodramatic mess where logic takes a back seat to tired romantic grandstanding. The performances are serviceable at best—neither actor rises above the material, and their scenes together feel more like obligation than genuine passion.
