Kartoos arrives as an ambitious, if uneven, thriller that wears its high-concept premise on its sleeve—a cop-implants-a-tracking-device-in-a-criminal setup that promises intrigue but often settles for melodrama. The film's central conflict between Jay's cold operational logic and Raja's awakening humanity has genuine potential, and there are moments where the director grasps for something meaningful beneath the action sequences. The performances, particularly in the quieter scenes between Raja and Mini, show glimpses of emotional authenticity that suggest the material could have worked with tighter execution. However, the narrative frequently loses its footing, oscillating between crime thriller and romantic drama without fully committing to either, and the supporting characters remain frustratingly underdeveloped.

What Kartoos does accomplish is maintain a respectable pace and deliver the action beats its audience expects, even if they're competently rather than imaginatively staged. The tracking device conceit, while somewhat gimmicky, creates a few clever moments of tension that actually land. Storyline

So there's this tough police officer named Jay who comes up with a pretty wild plan to take down a dangerous crime boss. He recruits a criminal guy called Raja and puts him through special training to do the dirty work. Here's the crazy part though – Jay secretly implants a tracking device inside Raja's leg so he can monitor his every move, no matter where he goes in the world.

Things get interesting when Raja ends up falling for this girl named Mini, which definitely wasn't part of Jay's master plan. Their romance becomes this whole thing that complicates the mission since Jay had specifically told Raja not to get emotionally involved. Meanwhile, Raja is out there trying to complete his assignment while his feelings for Mini keep growing stronger.

The movie basically follows this cat-and-mouse game between Jay and Raja as everything unfolds. There's action, there's drama, and there's this tension between what the cop wants and what the criminal's heart actually desires. It's a pretty entertaining ride watching how all these different threads come together.
