5/10Critic Score

Look, I'll be honest—this film is a confused mess that mistakes style for substance. The premise has potential: a heist involving Indian art, aristocracy, and moral ambiguity could've been sharp social commentary wrapped in entertainment. Instead, we get a superficial romp that never commits to anything. The chemistry between Lady Gee and Bonnie is undeniably watchable, and there are moments where the director finds genuine wit in their sparring, but the film squanders these opportunities by refusing to interrogate what it's really about. Is this a critique of colonial-era plundering? A celebration of thievery? A family drama? The screenplay can't decide, so it defaults to flashy heist beats and convenient plot turns. The Maharaja character is particularly poorly sketched—he exists mainly as a plot device rather than a person wrestling with real conflict.

The technical execution is where things really fall apart. The "Fort Knox with marble columns" security system is treated as impressive, yet we're never shown anything particularly clever about how they breach it. The climactic heist sequence, which should be the film's crowning moment, feels rushed and unearned—we haven't been given enough information about the plan to genuinely feel the stakes when things supposedly go wrong. The close calls feel contrived rather than thrilling. And that business about Lady Gee's moral qualms? It's raised in one scene and forgotten immediately, suggesting the filmmakers themselves didn't

Storyline

A ragtag crew of misfits hatches an audacious plan to pull off the heist of the century—stealing a priceless collection of paintings from a glittering Indian palace! Lady Gee, a sharp museum curator with nerves of steel, teams up with the charming Maharaja and his cunning sister Bonnie, who's dead set on flogging the masterpieces to Sotheby's for a fortune. The chemistry between these unlikely accomplices absolutely sizzles as they map out every risky detail!

But here's where things get deliciously complicated—the palatial security system is basically Fort Knox with marble columns, and trust between the crew starts cracking under pressure! Lady Gee clashes with Bonnie over the moral weight of what they're doing, while the Maharaja finds himself torn between greed and his family legacy. Double-crosses lurk around every corner as paranoia threatens to unravel the whole operation!

In the end, the heist comes together in a breathtaking climax that'll have you on the edge of your seat! Our thieves pull it off with style and swagger, though not without some hilariously close calls and unexpected twists. The chemistry, the stakes, the sheer audacity of it all—this film delivers pure, unadulterated entertainment that reminds you why heist movies are so damn satisfying!
