Vikram Bose here, and I have to say "Hello Charlie" is a refreshingly audacious comedy that swings for the fences with its premise and largely succeeds. The central conceit—a small-time schemer masquerading as a gorilla while a real silverback runs loose—sounds utterly absurd on paper, but the film commits to this madness with admirable conviction. What could have been a one-joke premise instead becomes a playground for escalating chaos and mistaken identities. The screenplay smartly layers confusion upon confusion, keeping audiences guessing as Charlie stumbles deeper into predicaments that grow progressively more outlandish. There's real craft in how the filmmakers balance the escalating stakes with consistent humor.

Storyline
A small-time grifter with big dreams of disappearing finds himself in one hilarious predicament after another when he hatches the wildest escape plan imaginable—masquerading as a massive gorilla. Meanwhile, a genuine silverback ape breaks loose from captivity, and suddenly there are two "gorillas" on the loose, each with their own reasons for staying hidden from the authorities. The setup is absolutely bonkers, and it works beautifully.
