Director handles the ensemble dynamics with a fairly deft touch; when the crew is assembled and each specialist's role becomes clear, there's a legitimate pleasure in watching these pieces fit together. The heist mechanics themselves are cleanly presented, and the film understands that the audience doesn't need every technical detail spelled out to feel invested.
Where the film stumbles is in its middle passages, where the complications feel somewhat mechanical rather than organic.
