Hanuman

Amit Sharma's "Hanuman" is an ambitious animated venture that attempts to chronicle the deity's origin story with considerable visual ambition, yet stumbles in narrative coherence and thematic depth. The film benefits from Mukesh Khanna's measured narration and vibrant animation sequences—particularly the Lanka confrontation—which showcase technical competence. However, the screenplay struggles to balance mythological reverence with entertainment value, oscillating between slapstick humor (the sun-grabbing sequence feels dated) and overwrought dramatic beats. The characterization of young Hanuman as merely mischievous rather than philosophically inquisitive dilutes what could have been a more substantive coming-of-age arc, and the rapid-fire succession of blessings undermines any sense of earned growth or consequence.

What truly limits the film is its tonal inconsistency and lack of narrative discipline. While the animation department delivers competent action sequences and the voice acting remains serviceable, the script treats mythological material with neither the reverence of a traditionalist nor the irreverent cleverness of a modern deconstruction. The pacing becomes increasingly frenetic in the final act, compressing Hanuman's most significant achievements into montage-like sequences that fail to generate emotional resonance. For family audiences seeking colorful spectacle, there's adequate entertainment; for those expecting thematic richness or character development,

Storyline

So basically, this animated film takes you through Hanuman's entire journey starting from when he was just born. Mukesh Khanna narrates the whole thing, and we learn how Hanuman came into existence through his parents Anjani and Kesari, with the Wind God Vayu playing a crucial role in his birth. Since he's actually an incarnation of Shiva himself, he was granted incredible gifts right from the start—we're talking about mind-blowing intelligence, superhuman strength, and magical powers that would make anyone jealous!

As a kid, Hanuman was basically a troublemaker who loved causing chaos in the forest where the saints lived, constantly using his newfound abilities to mess with them. There's this hilarious moment where he gets so hungry that he literally tries to grab the sun thinking it's a piece of fruit! Because of his mischievous nature, the gods including Indra decided to step in and grant him even more blessings—including immortality and protection from all sorts of dangerous things like weapons, fire, and even death itself.

When Hanuman grows up, he becomes this unstoppable force of nature with the ability to change his size from tiny to gigantic. He ends up playing this massive role in helping Rama and his brother Lakshmana rescue Sita from the demon king Ravana, and he even sets the entire golden city of Lanka on fire with his superpowers. His unwavering loyalty and devotion to Rama end up earning him yet another blessing, cementing his place in history as one of the most legendary figures ever.
