The film's central conceit—a fertility clinic mix-up that results in two couples carrying each other's biological children—is deliberately outlandish, but the screenplay smartly grounds the chaos in real relationships. By forcing the two couples into close quarters as neighbors, the narrative sidesteps easy laughs and instead mines comedy from the tension between awkwardness and unexpected friendship. The supporting cast, particularly the other couple, brings considerable nuance to what could have been caricatures, creating genuine moments of vulnerability beneath the situational humor.

Director Raj Mehta demonstrates a deft touch in balancing the film's tonal shifts, never allowing the preposterous plot to completely overshadow the emotional stakes at play.
