3/10Critic Score

This film is a masterclass in wasted potential—a premise that could've been intriguing devolves into a muddled, self-indulgent mess that mistakes ambiguity for profundity. The core idea of an unknowable romantic figure destabilizing a woman's life has real promise, but the execution is painfully inept. The direction lacks the precision needed to keep the mystery taut; instead, we get a plodding narrative that asks us to invest in characters we're given no real reason to care about. Natasha's internal conflict could've been the film's emotional anchor, but it's presented with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, and her oscillation between Sunny and Devdhar feels less like genuine moral turmoil and more like the writer couldn't decide what the story was actually about.

The performances feel undernourished—the actors are clearly trying, but they're drowning in a script that doesn't give them anything solid to grab onto. Devdhar's supernatural-or-con-artist-or-delusion angle might've worked as an unreliable narrative if the film had the formal intelligence to sustain it, but instead it just comes across as the director hedging his bets. The romance between Natasha and Devdhar has zero chemistry; their scenes together lack the electricity needed to justify why she'd throw her life away. By the third act, when the emotional reckoning is supposed to hit, you're too exhausted by the film's aimlessness to feel anything but relief that it's ending.

Storyline

So basically, this girl Natasha is this innocent young woman who's heading to her family's fancy estate for her wedding with this guy named Sunny. But then she meets Devdhar, who works at the property taking care of horses, and she just completely falls for him. He's got this intense, romantic vibe going on—like he's super persistent and charming in this wild way—and she realizes he's basically everything she's been dreaming of.

Here's where it gets wild though—nobody really knows what Devdhar's deal is. Is he some smooth-talking con artist who was actually brought in to mess up her happiness? Is he something supernatural? Or is he just something her mind made up? It's genuinely mysterious and keeps you guessing throughout.

Natasha ends up stuck between staying with her fiancé Sunny or following her heart with Devdhar, and it turns out that love can actually be super deceiving and painful. Everything starts falling apart around her, and everyone connected to this whole situation ends up hurt and confused by how things play out.
