Rohit Dhawan's "Dishoom" arrives with the pulse of a thriller and the heart of a buddy cop drama, yet it struggles to decide which story it truly wants to tell. The film sets up a genuinely compelling premise—a missing cricket star, a ticking clock, a nation on edge—but dilutes its tension by shifting focus between the investigation and the chemistry between Kabir and Junaid. John Abraham brings gravitas to the determined cop, while Varun Dhawan infuses Junaid with a charming goofiness that should work as contrast but instead feels like a distraction.
