Review
Rhea Chakraborty, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Tabu anchor this heist thriller with earnest performances that occasionally elevate the material, yet the film's fundamental narrative architecture crumbles under the weight of its own ambitions. Director Rajesh Tailang attempts to weave together character-driven drama with high-stakes smuggling intrigue, but the tonal shifts feel jarring rather than purposeful—the film lurches between intimate financial desperation scenes and broad comedic moments that undermine genuine tension. Chakraborty delivers surprising emotional depth as Jasmine, while Kapoor Khan brings star-power credibility to Geeta's internal conflict, but the screenplay fails to develop these arcs beyond surface-level grievances. The premise itself has potential: three women forced into criminality by systemic inequality and personal circumstance is thematically rich territory, yet the execution treats these circumstances as plot devices rather than exploring them meaningfully.
The technical execution feels surprisingly polished given the modest scale, with decent cinematography capturing both Mumbai's underbelly and sterile airport environments effectively. However, the heist mechanics lack the precision and clever construction that would make us genuinely invested in the operation's success. Dialogues often state character motivations rather than revealing them organically, and the supporting cast—particularly the antagonistic forces—remain one-dimensional obstacles.
Storyline
So basically, these three flight attendants working for this airline that's basically falling apart in Mumbai are in pretty tough spots financially. Geeta used to be this gorgeous beauty queen but married into wealth, and now she's struggling because her husband's family drama forced her to take this job. Meanwhile, she's also supporting her freeloading brother and his wife. Jasmine grew up without her parents and has been grinding to make money her whole life—she's all about the expensive lifestyle and fake it till you make it vibes on social media while trying to launch a cosmetics brand. Then there's Divya, who's actually trained as a pilot but couldn't find pilot jobs, so she's hiding the fact that she's "just" a flight attendant from her family while drowning in student loans.
Things take a wild turn when one of the senior flight attendants dies while working, which ends up being the catalyst for something pretty sketchy. The three women somehow get pulled into a secret operation run by the airline's HR guy, where they're smuggling gold out of India to this Middle Eastern place called Al Burj. It sounds crazy, but honestly, when you're desperate and broke with mounting bills and no other options, these schemes start looking tempting.
The whole story plays out with these three women navigating this dangerous underground operation while dealing with their own personal dramas and financial nightmares. There's definitely a lot of tension, some unexpected turns, and you're left wondering how deep they'll actually go with this illegal stuff and whether it's worth the risk.
