Review
Vidyut Jammwal's "Commando 3" arrives with the adrenaline of a franchise eager to prove itself, yet it stumbles where it matters most—in the heart of its narrative. Director Aditya Datt constructs an elaborate geopolitical thriller with London as the backdrop, attempting to weave together terrorism, redemption, and human vulnerability. Jammwal brings his characteristic intensity and physical prowess to Karan, channeling that raw energy into action sequences that occasionally crackle with genuine excitement. However, the film's emotional core—Buraq's fractured family, Zahira's desperation, the moral weight of covert operations—never quite resonates. The story feels assembled from spy-thriller blueprints rather than breathing with authentic stakes. Where the film could have explored the psychological toll on these characters, it rushes toward the next explosion.
The supporting cast, particularly the layers suggested in Zahira and Buraq's relationship, hints at what could have been a compelling human drama buried beneath the action. Instead, we get a serviceable thriller that prioritizes spectacle over substance. Bhavana's partnership with Karan feels functional rather than organic, lacking the chemistry needed to ground us emotionally in their undercover mission. The London setting, while visually distinct from Bollywood's typical landscapes, becomes merely a stage for set pieces rather than a character itself. Technical execution is competent—the action choreography showcases
Storyline
So basically, the Mumbai Police bust these three young guys they think are involved in terrorism, but when they try to questioning them, one dude straight up kills himself. That's when they call in this elite commando guy named Karan to help figure out what's going on. Turns out these suspects were getting money and these old VHS tapes with messages from some terrorist mastermind. The clues start pointing to a planned attack on India during Diwali, and the whole operation seems to be connected to someone working out of London.
Karan decides he needs to go undercover to catch whoever's behind this, so he teams up with his partner Bhavana and they pose as a married couple heading to London. Once they get there, they connect with some British intelligence officers who help them set up operations. Meanwhile, we meet this British terrorist guy named Buraq who's basically forcing his own son to watch some really messed up stuff. Buraq's ex-wife Zahira is terrified of him and wants to go to the authorities, but he's got her trapped with threats.
Things get intense when Buraq finds out Indian agents are on his tail, so both sides start hunting each other through London. Karan and his team are tracking Buraq's people while Buraq's crew is trying to locate the Indian agents. During all this chaos, Karan crosses paths with Zahira and her son, and gets caught up in this wild motorcycle chase that ends badly for one of the bad guys. Pretty wild stuff unfolds from there as everything spirals toward the climax!
