Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan attempts an ambitious narrative arc by blending time-travel mythology with the franchise's established charm, and one must acknowledge the creative ambition in taking the young hero into an ancient past. Director Amit Sharma commits to the larger canvas, crafting sequences where the animation occasionally soars—particularly in depicting the sprawling city of Sonapur and the demon's otherworldly presence. However, the film struggles with pacing and narrative coherence. The time-travel mechanics feel underexplored, serving more as a plot device than a well-integrated story element, and the stakes, while theoretically high, fail to resonate with the emotional weight they deserve. The voice performances are serviceable but lack the infectious energy needed to carry the slower stretches, where the dialogue often descends into exposition rather than organic character development.

Storyline

Okay, so you absolutely have to watch this one! Bheem and his crew are chilling in Dholakpur when they find out about this ancient demon named Damyaan who's been around for centuries and is basically unstoppable. This guy has immortal powers and is causing total chaos, so Bheem knows he has to do something about it before things get completely out of hand.

Here's where it gets really cool – Bheem figures out that to stop this demon, he needs to go back in time and understand where all his power comes from. So our hero and his friends use this magical device and literally travel back like a thousand years to this ancient city called Sonapur. Can you imagine? They're basically walking into a completely different world!

When they get there, the whole city is basically under this demon's control and everyone's suffering big time. What unfolds is this incredible adventure where Bheem and his gang have to outsmart enemies, make new friends, and basically save the day by changing what happened in the past. It's all about how friendship and bravery can literally save the world – proper epic stuff!
