5/10Critic Score

"Bullet" is a serviceable revenge thriller that understands the assignment but executes it with all the subtlety of, well, a bullet through glass. The premise—a cop framed and forced to go rogue against a corrupt businessman—is solid enough, and the cat-and-mouse dynamic between Dharamdev and Durgaprasad has genuine potential. The problem is that director seems content coasting through a formulaic script without adding any distinguishing flair. The performances are functional rather than electrifying; there's competence here, but no fire. The romance with Sapna feels obligatory, the supporting characters muddy the narrative instead of enriching it, and the pacing lurches between tedious exposition and rushed action sequences that don't land with the impact they should.

What saves this film from complete mediocrity is the climax's straightforward brutality—Durgaprasad being the actual killer is a decent enough twist, even if telegraphed from a mile away, and the hospital showdown delivers the cathartic violence audiences paid for. But getting there requires wading through a middle section that drags, inconsistent character motivations, and dialogue that alternates between heavy-handed and forgettable. The direction is competent but uninspired; there's no visual style, no memorable scenes, nothing that lingers after the credits roll.

Storyline

Durgaprasad runs this shipping company that's basically a front for scamming innocent people left and right, and Inspector Dharamdev is absolutely determined to bring this crook down! Dharamdev gets clever about it—he befriends Sapna, Durgaprasad's secretary, who's initially furious at being used but eventually comes around when she sees what a monster her boss really is. Together they're building a case, and things are finally coming together when Dharamdev manages to snag some seriously incriminating files.

But then everything goes sideways! Durgaprasad's goons catch Dharamdev on the way and beat him to a pulp, framing him for a murder he didn't commit—talk about a gut punch. Lucky for him, his cop buddy Inspector Rajesh vouches for him and gets him released, and now Dharamdev's absolutely done playing by the rules, vowing to put a bullet meant specifically for Durgaprasad. The tension cranks up even higher when Mala, Ghanshyamdas, and Roshi enter the picture, creating this wild web of suspicion and intrigue that keeps you guessing.

Just when everyone thinks Dharamdev's the culprit, the truth explodes—Durgaprasad's actually the killer all along! The whole thing comes to a head at Bombay Hospital in this absolutely electrifying climax where Dharamdev finally gets his moment, pulling the trigger on the man who's caused so much destruction. Justice served cold, baby—it's the perfect payoff!
