6/10Critic Score

There's something deeply earnest about "Bihu Attack" that you can't help but appreciate—a film that refuses to be just another thriller by-the-numbers, instead reaching toward questions of community healing, education, and what it means when we choose dialogue over division. Director shows genuine conviction in weaving social conscience into every frame, and that commitment to something larger than mere spectacle feels rare and necessary in a landscape often content with empty thrills. The core message about human connection bridging societal divides carries real weight, and you sense the filmmaker's heart is absolutely in the right place.

But here's where good intentions meet storytelling reality: watching this film unfold is like sitting across from someone who means well but can't quite get out of their own way. Every plot turn announces itself well before it arrives, every character moment lands with the predictability of clockwork, and the tension that should grip you simply never takes hold. The social messaging becomes almost suffocating within a narrative structure that feels trapped in familiar patterns—earnestness, it turns out, cannot substitute for genuine emotional investment or surprise. It's a heartbreaking paradox: a film so determined to say something meaningful ends up saying nothing with particular impact, its thoughtful impulses buried under plot mechanics that feel borrowed from a dozen other thrillers.

Storyline

So this movie's about this guy Raj Kunwar who's a court marshal from Assam and has lost his wife. He's really passionate about using education and bringing communities together as a way to create lasting peace in society. He's got this strong vision for how things should work, you know?

Things get pretty intense when the Bihu festival is happening and suddenly there's this serious threat to national security. The Indian Defence Minister is visiting around the same time, which makes everything even more complicated and dangerous. The whole situation spirals into this high-stakes scenario that nobody saw coming.

To deal with this crisis, Raj Kunwar ends up joining forces with this retired intelligence guy called KD Sir. Together they're trying to stop whatever attack is being planned and figure out who's actually pulling the strings behind all of this. It becomes this whole thriller about them racing against time to uncover the conspiracy.
