Mukta Arts is one of Bollywood's most pioneering production houses, founded back in 1978 by legendary filmmaker Subhash Ghai. Over the decades, they've produced and co-produced 42 films across Hindi and multiple other languages, while also distributing over 400 movies under their Mukta Movies Distributors banner. Beyond just churning out movies, Mukta Arts has shaped how Bollywood operates as a whole. They stepped into exhibition in 2012 with Mukta A2 Cinemas, now running 18 multiplex locations across India and Bahrain with 54 screens combined. But here's where they really stand out: they've also invested heavily in education and infrastructure through Whistling Woods International, a respected film and media arts institute they've been running since 2006. Their work spans everything from traditional cinema to digital content—TV serials, web series, and documentaries—making them relevant in today's streaming-dominated landscape while staying rooted in their theatrical roots.
