Roshan Taneja was a true architect of Indian cinema who left fingerprints all over the industry—not just behind the camera, but in shaping the very actors who became superstars. This legend set up the acting department at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, essentially building the blueprint for how actors would be trained in the country. But he didn't stop there; he founded the Roshan Taneja School of Acting in Mumbai, where he personally mentored countless performers who went on to dominate Bollywood. Beyond his teaching prowess, Taneja also proved his storytelling chops by writing and directing the 1977 film Abhi To Jee Lein, demonstrating that his understanding of cinema went far deeper than just theory.
