4/10Critic Score

Rafta Rafta – The Speed arrives as a film that struggles to find its footing in an increasingly competitive landscape. The narrative fails to generate the momentum its title suggests, instead opting for a pedestrian approach to storytelling that leaves viewers checking their watches rather than leaning forward in anticipation. While the film's ambitions appear sincere, the execution falls short across nearly every department—the screenplay lacks wit and originality, the pacing drags despite what should be high-octane sequences, and the overall package feels tired and uninspired.

The performances, though earnest, cannot salvage material that simply doesn't provide enough substance to work with. There's a sense that everyone involved was hoping the concept alone would carry the film, but cinema demands more than a catchy premise. The technical aspects—cinematography, music, editing—all feel competent but forgettable, contributing to a viewing experience that blends into the background rather than etching itself into memory. This is fundamentally a story problem, and no amount of cosmetic polish could remedy the core issue of a thin, unengaging narrative.
