Rajkumar Santoshi's "Raat Gayi, Baat Gayi?" attempts to dissect the anxieties of modern matrimony through the lens of a hungover morning and its cascading paranoia, but the execution falters where the premise promised intrigue. The film's central conceit—Rahul's fragmentary memory of a night with a mysterious woman—could have generated genuine tension or dark comedy, yet instead it meanders through predictable domestic squabbles without committing to either dramatic depth or satirical bite. The supporting track involving Saxena and Amit's marital troubles feels more like padding than meaningful parallel narrative, diluting whatever thematic coherence the film might have achieved. Vikram Prabhu brings earnestness to Rahul's panic, and there are moments where his desperation reads as authentic, but the writing doesn't give him much material to work with beyond frantic exposition.

What prevents this from being a complete misfire is Santoshi's occasional ability to find humor in the mundane—a wife's knowing glance, a friend's ill-timed advice—and the film does capture something truthful about how guilt and suspicion can corrode trust faster than actual infidelity. Storyline

So basically, this movie follows three couples dealing with all the messy stuff that comes with modern relationships. The main character Rahul wakes up one morning absolutely wrecked after partying the night before, and he remembers meeting this gorgeous woman named Sophia and getting totally drunk with her. Thing is, he can't actually recall what went down between them after the drinks started flowing. His wife Mitali is giving him serious cold shoulder vibes that morning, which makes him paranoid that maybe she found out about his night out.

Desperate to piece together what actually happened, Rahul becomes obsessed with figuring out the truth. He's basically going crazy trying to remember the details and figure out whether things went too far with Sophia. Meanwhile, his buddies Saxena and Amit are also dealing with their own relationship troubles at home, adding to the overall chaos and tension.

Ultimately, Rahul realizes he's gotta track down Sophia and get some answers straight from the source if he wants to save his sanity and probably his marriage too. It's basically a story about how modern couples navigate trust, honesty, and the complicated feelings that come up when relationships get tested.
