7/10Critic Score

There's a raw, pulsing anger at the heart of this film that refuses to let you look away—even when the violence becomes almost unbearable. The story trades in betrayal and brotherhood, two emotions that Bollywood knows how to wring from an audience, and for long stretches, it genuinely works. What makes this narrative tick isn't just the revenge itself, but that devastating reversal where Sanjay discovers Vijay's arrest was an act of love, not treachery. That moment—when understanding crashes into rage—is where the film finds its emotional core. The performances carry this weight; there's a heaviness in how these men move through their world, a sense that every choice has already hollowed them out. The direction capitalizes on this darkness, creating a Bombay that feels claustrophobic and corrupt, where friendship becomes the only currency that matters.

Yet the film struggles with its own ambitions. The revenge sequences, while visceral, begin to feel repetitive rather than cathartic, stretching what could have been lean storytelling into something that tests patience. The supporting characters exist mostly as plot devices, and the romantic elements feel perfunctory—Shanti and Jenny needed more breath to make their fates genuinely devastating. Storyline

Vijay's a privileged kid in a scenic hill town with his cop uncle and best friend Raj, but life's about to get messier once they all grow up and migrate to Bombay! Vijay climbs the ranks to become Police Commissioner while Raj settles down with Shanti, and everything seems perfect until Sanjay (Raj's brother) falls head over heels for Jenny and defies a powerful industrialist named Kedar who wants his own son Mahesh to marry her instead. The young couple's wedding day turns into chaos when Vijay himself arrests Sanjay—a betrayal that cuts deep and sets everything on fire.

When Sanjay wakes up the next morning, his entire world shatters: Raj and Shanti are dead, murdered by Kedar's hands! He swears vengeance and launches a brutal one-man war, systematically hunting down and eliminating Mahesh, corrupt cop P.K. Dubey, and Kedar's henchmen in absolutely savage, unforgettable ways. Just as Sanjay's about to finish what he started, he discovers the gut-wrenching truth—Vijay arrested him that night to *save* his life, not betray him!

Now fully aware of the conspiracy, Sanjay pivots to protect Vijay from Kedar's assassination plot during Ganesh Chaturthi, but the final confrontation with the kingpin spirals into chaos when the wounded Kedar suddenly lunges with a gun! Vijay takes the bullet meant for his brother, and Sanjay finishes Kedar once and for all—the ultimate full circle moment. When Vijay recovers, these two finally embrace the truth of their bond, their friendship emerging purified from blood and betrayal.
