The film doesn't shy away from depicting the grotesque machinery of Indian politics, the casual cruelty of caste prejudice, and the exhausting reality that female leaders operate under a microscope while their male counterparts coast. These are important themes executed with clear intent, and when the film focuses on the political machinery itself—the backroom deals, the systemic rot—it finds moments of genuine power that elevate the material beyond standard Bollywood formula.

But intention alone doesn't make a film work, and this one buckles under the weight of its own earnestness. The execution feels didactic rather than organic; characters function more as mouthpieces for sociopolitical commentary than as breathing human beings, and the pacing drags mercilessly through stretches that should crackle with tension. The cross-caste romance subplot feels tacked on rather than integrated, and the film struggles to balance its political thriller ambitions with the personal drama it keeps trying to inject. What could have been a taut, propulsive examination of power becomes a slog of melodrama and heavy-handed messaging that underestimates the audience's intelligence.
