There's something almost endearing about a film that commits so fully to its own absurdity, and "Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karen" certainly tries. The premise—a street-smart impostor falling genuinely in love while pretending to be a businessman's son—has potential for both comedy and heart, the kind of mistaken identity yarn that Bollywood has mined successfully for decades. But potential and execution are different beasts entirely. The film's central romance between Raja and Preeti feels rushed and unconvincing; we're asked to believe in their connection without being given the breathing room to actually *feel* it. The supporting cast does what it can with undercooked material, but even earnest performances can't salvage a script that treats character development as an afterthought. Director's choices prioritize plot mechanics over genuine moments, leaving audiences disconnected from what should be the emotional core of the story.

What's particularly frustrating is how the film squanders its own setup. The arrival of the real Vicky should catalyze genuine conflict and complexity—instead, it feels like just another plot point to hurry through. There's no real exploration of Raja's choice to deceive, no meaningful examination of what Preeti loses when the truth emerges, no earned catharsis. The performances, while competent, struggle against dialogue that tells rather than shows, that explains rather than reveals. In trying to be a lighthearted romantic caper, the film ends up be

Storyline

So basically, two rival businessmen finally decide to end their feud and seal the deal by arranging a marriage between their kids. The father sends his son Vicky to meet the girl in another city, but on the way there, the car crashes into a river. This street smart guy named Raja manages to survive the accident, and when he finds out the original plan, he's like "why not pretend to be Vicky and go meet this girl myself?" Pretty cheeky move, right?

Once Raja shows up pretending to be Vicky, he meets Preeti and something real clicks between them. She's not into him at first, but they end up falling hard for each other. Everything seems to be going perfectly, and word gets back to Vicky's family that the two lovebirds have already agreed to get married. It's all looking smooth and romantic!

But then things take a wild turn when the actual Vicky randomly shows up at home and reveals he never even made it to Surat in the first place. So now the father is completely confused and worried, realizing some random dude has been impersonating his son this whole time. He rushes off to figure out exactly what's going on with this mystery person in Surat.
