"Khooni Ilaaka: The Prohibited Area" arrives as a familiar entry in the crowded supernatural horror space, and while it doesn't break new ground, there are moments where the film demonstrates genuine atmospheric intent. Director manages to conjure a few effectively unsettling sequences in the forest setting—particularly in the first act where dread builds through sound design and clever framing rather than jump scares alone. The premise of a vengeful Tantrik's curse has been mined before, certainly, but the film at least commits to its mythology without apology. The performances are serviceable; the younger sister carries the emotional weight of the narrative with surprising credibility, and her desperation to piece together the mystery provides the film's most engaging throughline.

Storyline
A vengeful spirit rises from the dead with one goal: to destroy an entire family! When the siblings head out for what should be a simple day trip, they have no idea they're walking straight into the cursed Khooni Ilaaka—a deadly forest haunted by the rage of a wicked Tantrik murdered by villagers decades ago. Left behind at home, the younger sister has no clue her family has vanished into supernatural darkness.
The forest becomes a nightmare gauntlet as the siblings are hunted relentlessly by the malevolent spirit, each moment more terrifying than the last. The curse that's been festering since the Tantrik's death shows no mercy, trapping them in a cycle of horror they can't escape. Meanwhile, the sister and her boyfriend piece together what's happening and realize they're the only ones who can save the family from being consumed by ancient vengeance.
The race against time explodes into a climactic battle where love and courage face off against pure supernatural evil! They uncover the dark truth about the Tantrik's murder and the curse's hold on the forest. In a stunning finale, the family breaks free from the spirit's grasp, finally vanquishing the evil that's haunted Khooni Ilaaka for generations!
