"Hate Story IV" arrives with the promise of a psychological thriller, but what unfolds is a film caught between ambition and execution, struggling to justify its own darkness. The premise—a woman orchestrating elaborate revenge against two wealthy brothers—has potential for a gripping exploration of power dynamics and deception. However, the narrative collapses under the weight of its own implausibility. The twist that Tasha has been manipulating everyone all along might have landed with impact if we'd been given subtle breadcrumbs throughout, but instead it feels like a sudden plot reset rather than a carefully constructed revelation. Director Vishal Pandya seems more interested in shock value than character psychology, leaving us with a protagonist whose motivations remain frustratingly opaque. Why does Tasha orchestrate such an elaborate, murderous scheme? What is she truly after beyond vague notions of revenge? These questions linger unanswered, making it impossible to invest emotionally in her arc.

The performances, particularly from the lead actress, try valiantly to carry the film's emotional weight, but they're undermined by dialogue that tells rather than shows. When Tasha reveals her grand plan, there's no cathartic satisfaction—only the feeling that we've been watching a film that doesn't understand its own characters. The supporting cast fades into the background, relegated to being pawns in a game we never fully understood was being played. While "Hate Story IV"

Storyline

So basically, this girl Tasha gets caught up with these two rich brothers, Aryan and Rajveer, who are sons of this super wealthy London-based guy. Rajveer meets her at a bar and decides she's going to be the face of their company, but he's got sketchy motives—he even pays some thugs to attack her so he can play hero and impress her. Meanwhile, Aryan also falls for her and gets her totally drunk at a party, and they end up sleeping together, which she feels terrible about the next morning. Then a compromising photo of the two of them gets sent to her phone out of nowhere, which kicks everything into high gear.

Things get pretty dark when Rishma, Aryan's girlfriend, shows up with a gun ready to kill him over the photo. During a struggle, she ends up getting shot and dying. Aryan freaks out and begs Tasha to help him cover it up, so they dump her body in a river. It's all super tense and dramatic at this point, and you're wondering where this whole mess is going to end up.

Here's where it gets wild though—Tasha basically reveals that she's been playing everyone the whole time and orchestrated the entire thing. She knew all about Rajveer's shady goon situation and actually spiked Aryan's drink herself to set up those fake photos. Then she sent the pictures to Rishma to stir up chaos. She's been manipulating both brothers and playing them against each other, and the whole time she's got this bigger plan in motion.
