Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff bring their usual brand of muscular enthusiasm to what should have been a slick, globe-trotting action thriller, but Bade Miyan Chote Miyan stumbles under the weight of its own bloated ambitions. The premise—a rogue scientist weaponizing human genetics—has genuine potential, and the setup in Shanghai crackles with promise. But director Ali Abbas Zafar fritters away every ounce of that goodwill with lazy storytelling that mistakes spectacle for substance. The London sequences feel phoned in, the villain's motivations are muddled beyond belief, and the "shocking" revelation about the masked antagonist lands with all the impact of a deflated balloon. Kumar's comic timing feels forced, Shroff's intensity is wasted on thin character work, and even the ensemble tech operative can't salvage the mess.
What truly sinks this ship is the script's refusal to commit to anything meaningful. The alleged betrayal rooted in team history? Underdeveloped and unconvincing. The psychological conflict between brothers? Rushed and emotionally hollow.
