Angaara had the bones of a genuinely compelling thriller—a protagonist juggling filial duty and criminal ambition, betrayal that actually stings, stakes that matter. The premise of a double life unraveling is Bollywood gold if executed with precision, and for stretches, director Kapoor understands this. The heist sequences have genuine craft, the family dynamics carry real weight, and there's a pulpy energy to watching Sagar's world collapse that keeps you locked in. But here's where it all goes sideways: the film drowns itself in melodrama when it should be tightening the noose. Om Prakash's betrayal lacks the psychological depth it screams for—he's just a plot device wearing a villainous smirk. Storyline
Sagar's living a double life that's absolutely brilliant—by day he's the dutiful son taking care of his struggling mother, younger siblings, and all their problems, but by night he's a master thief pulling off audacious heists disguised as different people!
