Razneesh Gujral's "72 Hoorain" arrives as an audacious attempt to wrestle with theology, morality, and the corrupting nature of ideological certainty—ambitious terrain that few Hindi films dare to tread. The film's central conceit, trapping two men in a purgatorial space where their fundamental beliefs unravel, carries genuine philosophical weight. However, the execution falters under the burden of its own conceptual weight. The direction shows moments of visual inventiveness in depicting this liminal realm, but the narrative becomes increasingly muddled as it progresses, prioritizing shock value and graphic violence over the nuanced exploration such subject matter demands. Storyline
