Tinu Pappachan burst onto the indie film scene with his debut feature Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil in 2018, a film that immediately established him as a fresh voice in Malayalam cinema. Before stepping into the director's chair, Pappachan spent considerable time in the trenches, assisting the maverick filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery and soaking up his distinctive approach to storytelling. This apprenticeship proved invaluable—it gave him the technical chops and creative sensibility that would define his own work.
