Director
Inder Kumar
Inder Kumar was a familiar face in Hindi cinema who carved out a solid career playing supporting roles that often stole scenes. Active from 1996 to 2017, he became known for his appearances in action-packed blockbusters like Wanted, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, and Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye. His long association with Salman Khan resulted in multiple collaborations, making him a regular presence in Khan's films. While he may not have been the lead, Kumar had that rare quality of making every role memorable, whether comedic or dramatic. What set Inder Kumar apart was his versatility and his ability to blend seamlessly into ensemble casts without ever feeling like dead weight. He understood the rhythm of Bollywood filmmaking and contributed to the chemistry that made 90s and 2000s Hindi cinema so entertaining. His last project was Chhoti Si Guzaarish, and he was actively working on Phati Padi Hai Yaar when he passed away in July 2017. Though his career was relatively under-the-radar compared to A-list stars, Inder Kumar's consistent work ethic and likable screen presence left an indelible mark on a generation of Bollywood films that fans still rewatch today.
