G. S. Vijayan is a Malayalam filmmaker who's had quite the roller-coaster career, but when he's behind the camera, things get interesting. He burst onto the scene with Charithram, a Mammootty vehicle that announced his arrival as a director with serious credentials. Over the years, he's crafted films like Aanaval Mothiram and Ghoshayathra that showed his range, though he also took a swing at ambitious projects—like the never-completed Chodhyam, which was supposed to reunite Mohanlal and Rahman for a Tamil remake.
